Pros and Cons of Renting Your RV

Is renting your RV worth the stress?

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, July 28, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Are you an RV owner who is thinking of renting their unused motorhome? Like you have an RV that is lying idle in your garage and costing you vehicle taxes, depreciation, storage fees – and you are wondering if you can make good money by renting it out? Of course, you can!

RV rentals can be a source of lucrative income for you when done right, and you can make up to $6,400 every year. But with its amazing monetary benefits also come some risks. And understanding how these risks affect the rewards is very important in deciding if the RV rental business is the best fit for you. So before you start that side-hustle of renting out your RV, check out these pros and cons!

Pros of Renting Your RV
We’ll start with the benefits of renting your RV:
—Extra Income: This is the best reward for renting out your RV. Depending on the type of RV you have, how well you've maintained it, the amenities it has, and the extra pickup or drop-off services you are willing to do, you can rent your RV up to $3,906 for a two-week timeframe. A class A motorhome can cost around $250 and a fifth-wheel up to $160 per night. Multiply that amount by the rental duration, and you discover that you have enough money to cover up your RV payment – if you are not done with it yet. As a bonus, you can also charge more during peak travel times like summer and spring breaks or even holidays.

—Get New People to Enjoy the RV Lifestyle: This is another rewarding aspect of renting out your RV because you get to meet more people and introduce them to the fun RVing lifestyle. You also help more families or people enjoy the open road and go on memorable holidays without breaking the bank. Renting out your RV to people is a perfect way to help them test the camping lifestyle before they make the ultimate decision of buying one for themselves.

—Maintenance and Upkeep: By renting out your RV a couple of times a year, you keep your motorhome in good shape and also decrease its depreciation tendencies. Your RV starts to rot when you leave it without use and will take more effort in maintaining it. So, renting it out saves you maintenance money and storage fees (if you pack them at the campground because of less house space).

Cons of Renting Your RV
While the benefits sound interesting, there can also be a few disadvantages to renting out your RV. These disadvantages include:
—Damage Risks: The biggest downside to this side-business is the damage risks, and this happens when you rent out your RV to newbie RVers. They might mistakenly flood your RV by leaving the tap running or back up the wrong way and end up smashing the rear side of your motorhome. Damages can come in various forms. It can be done by;
– Pets scratching the walls.
– By trees or low-clearance bridges scratching the roof.
– By road debris that damage the body and windows of the RV during storms.
– By theft or vandalism.
– Or not knowing how to use things properly.
The damage risks are very high because these renters don’t know much about your RV, and you might end up paying more money than you got for repairs.

—Wears and Tears: The more you rent out your RV, the more tolls you put on your RV, especially the mechanical parts. The frequent use of the hot water system, appliances, furniture, slides, and tanks will affect how soon you need to replace it. Let’s not forget that it also puts extra mileage on your RV’s engine and tires.

—Removing Your Personal Items From Your RV: If you are a full-time RVer then this is probably the hardest part of renting out your RV. You always have to take out your personal belongings and clothes every time you rent your RV out and arrange them again when the motorhome is back. On average, you can spend up to 2 hours take out everything and at least an hour to bring them back to the RV (this time frame depends on the size of your RV). But, if you only use your RV for seasonal road trips, this will not be a problem for you.

—Higher Insurance Coverage: While your RV insurance covers your vehicle during an electrical surge or damage your motorhome might cause to someone, it does not cover damages caused by a renter using your RV. So, you might have to consider buying extra commercial RV insurance to ensure your vehicle is well-protected in any situation. But, you can also consider this extra payment as a business expense that you can make a profit from in the long run.

Is Renting Your RV Worth The Stress?
Well, we spoke to other RVers, and they gave RV rental businesses a big thumb up. Through this rental service, some have been able to cover their RV payments, make extra side cash and help others try out the cool RVing life. The choice to rent or not is yours to make, and if you feel you can live with the cons – then, by all means, start that rental business!

OPEC+ Reaches Historic Deal. Petraco Group Monitors Closely

OPEC+ REACHES HISTORIC DEAL. PETRACO GROUP MONITORS CLOSELY

OPEC+ REACHES HISTORIC DEAL. PETRACO GROUP MONITORS CLOSELY

Petraco is one of the oldest independent trading companies in the World, priding itself on great expertise and strong connection with its customers.

In 1859 the human race discovered a huge treasure chest in its basement. This was oil and gas.”

— K.E.B.

LUGANO, TESSIN, SWITZERLAND, July 28, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Opec and their allies have reached a deal to increase oil production by 400,000 barrels a day in response to Brent climbing to over $75, a level not seen since prior to the pandemic. The rise in output is due to commence in August 2021, lasting until December 2022. This much earlier than the original plan for expansion which had been planned to kickstart in April 2022. The conclusion of the meeting between OPEC+ members was long-delayed and sheds light on what had been, up to now, a general pessimistic feeling over demand levels amongst oil producing countries following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Opec+ coalition’s decision is unlikely to be put in place sooner than August as previous disagreement with the UAE had hindered the group’s output policy. An initial meeting had been scheduled on 5th July. In an interview conducted by CNBC, Saudi Arabia’s oil minister Adulaziz bin Salman expressed his unawareness of any negotiations that would result in Abu Dhabi’s consent to the proposal to boost production by 400,000 b/d each month over August 2021 – December 2022, with an option for a stoppage period of three months. The UAE demanded an upward adjustment of their production baseline from 3.168mn b/d to 3.65mn b/d. This standstill was closely followed by major players in the oil industry, energy majors and traders alike, including Vitol, Petraco, Trafigura and Glencore.

Saudi Arabia’s oil minister emphasized that the group will still retain its existing deal until next April, despite the current standstill over its extension until the end of 2022. Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman added also that continued unpredictability in oil markets due to transmission of the Covid-19 pandemic and a possible return of Venezuelan and Iranian barrels actually supported a deal extension and the limitation in output increase.

During the meeting’s discussion, the extension proposal had amassed almost unanimous support.

Minister bin Salman stated that "It really address[es] everyone's concerns: ensuring the market will not be short of volumes, carefully bringing that volume in a gradual phase-in, [and continuing] the mechanism of posing or even increasing or decreasing, which is very assuring for the market."

Nevertheless, he formally opposed the UAE’s request for a baseline revision, claiming that "you cannot pick a month and say, this is my capacity, so you have to give it to me now. This is not the way to do it,". For that matter, he insisted that the disagreements had nevertheless not escalated to the point of risking a deal dissolution.

However, due to current course of events, members of the Opec+ group, including Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates will be granted increased output baselines. These output baselines constitute the benchmarks from which production deals are calculated.
Under the agreement, production baselines will increase as follows:

• For UAE from 3.168mn b/d to 3.5m b/d;
• For Saudi Arabia from 11m b/d to 11.5m b/d;
• For Russia from 11m b/d to 11.5m b/d;
• For Iraq from 4.65m b/d to 4.8m b/d;
• For Kuwait from 2.85m b/d to 3m b/d.

Russia is considered to be the greatest winner. The deal, welcomed by Russia, allows it to boost oil output by 100,000 barrels a day starting from August. Russia’s pre-crisis level will be reached in May next year. Russian companies are believed to monetize their reserves and thus sustain their market share. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak expressed his hopes for budget benefits the agreement should yield, saying “With an average price of $60 per barrel, budget revenues will amount to more than 400 billion rubles ($5 billion), and this is certainly a very positive moment,”.

The next Opec+ meeting, due to be held on 1st September, will be closely monitored by industry players. A spokesperson for the Petraco Group indicated the trading house is looking forward to this chain of events with a prospect for favourable oil market impact in the latter part of 2021.

Portuguese based Nortavia Transportes Aeros orders 10 Skyworks Aeronautics eGyro™ Electric Aircraft

Nortavia will use the eGyros to expand their existing Aviation Training and Maintenance Academy Program

With our many years of preparing pilots for both civilian and commercial flight operations, our team at Nortavia is ecstatic to add Skyworks best in class electric gyro to our growing fleet”

CHICAGO, IL, USA, July 28, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Nortavia Transportes Aeros ("Nortavia"), a leading aircraft commercial flight training and maintenance certification academy in operation for over 30 years in Maia, Porto Portugal, recently announced they will purchase 10 of Skyworks Aeronautics Corp.'s ("Skyworks") eGyro™ electrically powered vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

“With our many years of preparing pilots for both civilian and commercial flight operations, our team at Nortavia is ecstatic to add Skyworks best in class electric gyro to our growing fleet,” said Cassiano Rodrigues, Chief Executive Officer of Nortavia. “With its efficient design, superb safety characteristics, and impressive range, this spectacular platform effectively positions us to meet the ever-growing demand for sustainable aviation capabilities and services, with a particular focus on training the next generation of e-platform operators and maintainers,” Rodrigues added.

Ford Issues a Recall on Over 770,000 Vehicles Worldwide

Over half a dozen injuries have already been reported linked to steering issues in certain Ford Explorer SUV model years. by Nadia El-Yaouti

Crashes caused by an automotive defect often proceed under the legal theory of “strict liability,” as opposed to the “negligence” standard used in other auto accident personal injury cases.”

— T Nguyen, Dallas Personal Injury Lawyer

DALLAS, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, July 28, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Ford Motor Company has issued a worldwide recall on approximately 775,000 2013-2017 Ford Explorer vehicles due to issues with steering that have been linked to at least six injuries in North America. While the recall is worldwide, 676,152 vehicles under the recall are registered in North America, with 59,935 in China, and 38,600 elsewhere throughout the world. Ford has shared that the reference number for the recall is 21S32.

Last Friday, the automotive giant announced a recall on its Ford Explorer SUVs because of a steering issue in which vehicles may experience a seized cross-axis ball joint. This seizure has the potential to lead to a fractured rear suspension toe link which ultimately can lead to a loss of steering control, thus increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford has not released details regarding the six injuries thus far related to the defect. Product liability attorney T Nguyen of the Dallas-based Turley Law Firm explains the elements of a product liability claim and what an injured plaintiff has to prove to recover compensation from a product manufacturer. “An injury victim must prove that the product defect was a producing cause of the injury,” says Nguyen, “and there was a technologically and economically feasible safer alternative design that would have prevented or significantly reduced the risk of the plaintiff’s injury without substantially impairing the product’s utility.”

Products liability cases often proceed under the legal theory of “strict liability,” says Nguyen, as opposed to the “negligence” standard used in other auto accident personal injury cases where a defective auto part is not at issue.

According to Ford, affected vehicles may have a “clunk noise” and might have unusual handling when driving as well as a misaligned rear wheel.

In a statement issued by the automaker, For explains that "In the U.S. the affected vehicles are located in high-corrosion states as defined by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or in regions with a combination of cold winter weather with relatively high humidity and substantial road salt use."

The automaker plans to begin sending out owner notifications at the end of August. After the notifications are sent out, owners can expect Ford dealers to inspect the cross-axis ball joint. If necessary, they will replace it. Dealers will also replace the toe links with newer, revised toe link parts.

Dealerships can themselves be held liable for selling defective vehicles that cause injuries, although dealer liability is less common. Attorney Nguyen explains, “Typically, car dealers are not liable for a product defect unless the manufacturer cannot be reached within a jurisdiction of the United States or circumstances show the dealer had control over the design or assembly.” Nguyen continues, “For automotive defects, the manufacturer of the vehicle and the manufacturer or manufacturers of the component part or parts, if any, are typically sued for the automotive defect.”

This recall is the latest in a string of recalls issued by the automaker over the past year. Last Friday, Ford also issued two small-scale recalls in North America.

The first recall relates to roughly 35,000 2020-2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty vehicles with 6.7-liter engines. The vehicles, which were made in a Kentucky truck plant, may have a rear axle housing spring seat interface that might not have been properly welded. Ford explained in a statement that “Affected vehicles may experience rear driveline disconnection. Customers may experience vibration and/or shaking while driving at highway speeds, and/or shuddering upon acceleration.”

Though there have not been any incidents reported with this issue, there is a potential that drivers could experience a sudden loss of power when driving because the driveline may fail while in motion. Additionally, the issue could cause the truck’s parking brake to be released which would allow the vehicle to roll. Both pose a risk of an accident occurring.

The second recall pertains to 41,000 2020-2021 Lincoln Aviator vehicles that have a 3.0-liter gas engine. In cars affected by this recall, the battery cable wire harness might not have been properly secured. Affected vehicles have the potential to face a short circuit which could lead to a potential fire. Ford has also shared that there have been no accidents, injuries, or fires related to this recall.

NovoaGlobal Provides Fixed Automated Speed Enforcement at this Location

Reducing speed limits increases the safety of everyone… We’re proud to serve Chattanooga, a city on the forefront in technology and recently recognized as a leader in Smart City solutions”

— Carlos Lofstedt, President and CEO of NovoaGlobal

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, USA, July 28, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — NovoaGlobal, Inc. a leading provider of advanced traffic safety enforcement technology, announces speed limits are now reduced in Chattanooga, Tennessee including on the portion of Hixson Pike that includes the S curve. NovoaGlobal’s fixed speed enforcement camera is deployed at this location.

The Hixson Pike S curve is historically a very dangerous portion of the road. From 2000 to 2006, six people lost their lives at the S curves on the stretch of road between 2600 – 3400 Hixson Pike. In the following years, after the first camera’s installation in 2007, there have been no traffic deaths reported at this location. On other sections of Hixson Pike, 12 people have lost their lives between 2013 and July 26, 2021.

The sign speed limit was lowered to 35 mph from 40 mph back in March this year. Drivers have been given a grace period to change driving habits and the road signage updated, notifying drivers of the new 35 mph speed limit. Starting August 1st, automated enforcement speed will be adjusted according to the new sign speed.

Chattanooga’s decision may have been influenced by local factors such as an increase in speeding, environmental factors, proximity to residential area, resident and business owner input but anti-speeding and speed reduction programs are gaining national attention. National organizations such as the Governors Highway Safety Association, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Road Safety Foundation are working to institute an anti-speeding pilot program which represents a multi-state, multi-organization effort.

“In 2020, the increase in speeding and traffic deaths across the country was shocking. Reducing speed limits increases the safety of everyone, including motorcyclists, and pedestrians and that is our goal – safety, first and foremost. We’re proud to serve Chattanooga, a City on the forefront in technology and recently recognized as a leader in Smart City solutions,” said Carlos Lofstedt, President and CEO of NovoaGlobal.

NovoaGlobal’s cutting edge technology was chosen by Chattanooga in 2012 to provide full turnkey red light, mobile speed and fixed speed.

While enforcement is a very effective way to get drivers to comply with any law, it is impossible for police to be everywhere. Photo enforcement educates road users, enforces traffic laws, thus creating a safer community for Chattanooga’s families and visitors.

Century Park Law Group Building

Century Park Law Group Building

Century Park Law Group supports these initiatives which helps to to improve teen driving skills and combat teen speeding using advertisements and other media.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, July 28, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Ford Motor Company Fund and the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) are awarding grants totaling $135,000 to State Highway Safety Offices in Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, New York, Tennessee and Utah; Grants will be used to create and implement programs to help combat teen speeding in each state. Century Park Law Group supports GHSA and Ford Motor Company Fund programs and initiatives which helps to to improve teen driving skills, target and combat teen speeding using radio advertisements, press releases, and other media.

Ford Fund and GHSA resume their award-winning teen driver safety program – Ford Driving Skills for Life – with an eight-city tour featuring free, hands-on training clinics for newly licensed drivers; Tour kicks off Aug. 7-8 in Anaheim, California, with additional stops planned in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Diego through the remainder of this year.

Despite fewer vehicles on the road during the COVID-19 pandemic, traffic crash fatalities are estimated to have reached a 13-year high in 2020.

Ford Motor Company Fund, the philanthropic arm of Ford, and the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) are extending their 18-year commitment to improving teen driving skills by awarding grants totaling $135,000 to six State Highway Safety Offices (SHSO) and announcing the return of Ford Driving Skills for Life hands-on driver training clinics.

Vehicle crashes remain the leading cause of death for teen drivers and data from GHSA and Ford Fund’s Teens & Speeding: Breaking the Deadly Cycle report released earlier this year found that more than 2,000 teen vehicle occupant deaths occur each year. When looking at data from fatal motor vehicle crashes between 2015 and 2019, 43% of teen driver and passenger fatalities involved speeding. By comparison, 30% of fatalities involving drivers and passengers ages 20+ were speeding-related.

Additionally, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Fatality Analysis Reporting System, traffic deaths are estimated to have reached a 13-year high in 2020, despite a decline in driving during the COVID-19 pandemic. A NHTSA report estimates that 38,680 people were killed on U.S roadways in 2020 – the highest number since 2007 and an increase of 7.2% from 2019.

SHSOs in Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, New York, Tennessee and Utah are receiving grants ranging from $18,000 to $25,000 to create and implement programs to help combat teen speeding.

“Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens, and speeding is often a significant factor,” said Jonathan Adkins, GHSA Executor Director. “We must remain steadfast in our commitment to combat traffic fatalities and equip teens with the skills they need to be safe drivers.”

Ford Fund and GHSA also are resuming their award-winning teen driver safety program – Ford Driving Skills for Life – following a 15-month pause in hands-on training due to COVID-19.

An eight-city tour of free, safe-driving clinics kicks off Aug. 7-8, 2021, in Anaheim, California, with additional stops planned in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Diego through the remainder of this year. Newly licensed drivers or teens who hold a valid learner’s permit can participate. One parent or guardian is encouraged to participate with their teen(s), given the significant role they play in shaping their child’s driving habits. Parents can register their teen(s) or sign up to be among the first to get notified of this free training opportunity in their area at drivingskillsforlife.com.

Now in its 18th year, Ford Driving Skills for Life pairs newly licensed drivers with professional driving instructors for next-level instruction. The program addresses issues and critical factors that influence crashes, including: vehicle handling; hazard recognition; speed and space management; distracted and impaired driving. The hands-on training clinics focus on necessary skills for safe driving beyond what is learned in traditional driver education courses.

“Despite the pandemic and pause in our hands-on training for more than a year, the Driving Skills for Life team continued working to improve driving safety by offering virtual instructional activities and launching a new ‘Daily Drive’ podcast,” said Jim Graham, manager, Ford Motor Company Fund. “However, nothing can replace in-person, behind-the-wheel training, and we are looking forward to safely resuming our hands-on training clinics.”

Since 2003, Ford Fund has invested more than $60 million in its Ford Driving Skills for Life program and provided free, advanced driver education to more than 1.25 million newly licensed teen drivers in all 50 U.S. states and 46 countries worldwide.

The Complete History of RVs

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, July 28, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Complete History of RVs
A recreational vehicle, often abbreviated as RV, is a motor vehicle or trailer which includes living quarters designed for accommodation. Types of RVs include motorhomes, campervans, caravans (also known as travel trailers and camper trailers), fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers, and truck campers.

History
At the beginning of the 20th century, long-distance travel was very strenuous and the only means of long-distance travel was by train. However, the train system was limited. However, in the 1900s, when automobiles were still popular, petrol stations and paved roads were few and far between, which made traveling long distances by car more difficult. Those lucky enough to own a car during this time could choose to stay at different hotels when traveling long distances. To reduce the cost of living between long-distance travel and hotels, some savvy entrepreneurs began using canvas tents to modify cars.

The First RVs
In the 1800s, gypsies will use covered wagons across Europe. This cutting edge technology enables them to avoid problems while constantly moving. It is believed that these Gypsy covered wagons were the cause of some of the earliest RV campers in the United States. The first RVs in the US were built independently as a unit. According to the Smithsonian, the first Rv was hand-built on a vehicle in 1904. It is lit by incandescent lamps and is equipped with a refrigerator and radio. Up to four adults can sleep. It wasn't until 1910 that the first batch of RV mobile homes was mass-produced and put on commercial sale. These first RVs offered very little temporary comfort. However, they allow you to sleep well and prepare a home-cooked meal.

The 1910s
At this moment, auto sales are growing rapidly and people are looking for ways to customize cars by hand. In 1910, Pierce-Arrow Touring Landau became the first Rv. This car has a rear car seat that folds into a bed and a sink that folds up to make more space.

The 1920s
It was during this decade that one of the earliest RV camping clubs, Tin Can Tourist, was founded. Together, members walked the dirt road without fear and got their names from their ritual of heating tin cans on a gas stove for dinner. In the late 1920s, many Americans flocked into them and they began to creatively rely on their vehicles. Unfortunately, due to the financial turmoil of the Great Depression, this was based on necessity rather than entertainment.

The 1930s
Arthur G. Sherman, the president of a pharmaceutical company, has adopted a new trailer called "Covered Wagon". The new design features a wide six-foot-long rectangular stone body that is the same height as a typical family car. Each side contains a small ventilation window and two more windows in the front. The trailer also includes cabinets, built-in furniture, and storage space. The car made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January 1930.

Until 1936, the "Covered Wagon" was the largest trailer in the American industry. Approximately 6,000 units have been sold with total sales of approximately $3 million. This marked the beginning of the solid Rv industry and the end of the trailer tent.

The 1940s
World War II caused a major setback in consumer motorhome manufacturing. However, this did not stop the use of RVs. RVs have been used to aid in wartime operations such as mobile hospitals, prisoner transports, and even morgues. In fact, in 1942 the US military brought thousands of revolutionary trailers called "Palace Expando" to take in newly recruited soldiers and their families.

The 1950s
As the young families of the returning soldiers became more interested in new cheap travel methods, RVs became popular again in the 1950s. At this point, most of today's largest RV manufacturers were regularly making new and improved models, some of which include plumbing and refrigeration equipment. Among these manufacturers, there are the names we know today, such as Ford, Winnebago, and Airstream.

The 1960s
Before this era, most entrepreneurs focused on modifying cars and building trailers. However, in the 1960s, people began to breathe new life into trucks and buses. Many of these newly modified vehicles are emergency shelters for hippies. Of course, the Flower Power Generation made a statement for their mobile homes by decorating their floor-to-ceiling mazes inside and out.

In 1962, John Steinbeck's novel "Travels with Charley" sparked a new love for camping as the story is based on the story of a camper traveling on a national adventure. During this time, Winnebago took advantage of this growing popularity and mass-produced various RVs at lower prices. It started in 1967. One of the largest international RV owners is the Good Sam Club, founded in 1966. Today it has 1.8 million members. After the 1960s, the RV lifestyle became better known as it became part of popular culture. For example, Barbie introduced the first mobile home in the late 1970s. Today the Barbie Camping series has evolved into different models, such as the Barbie Popup Camper and the Barbie DreamCamper Adventure Camping Toy.

Hollywood RVs have received widespread attention for the past 30 years. Whether it's a space travel caravan in a space ball, a caravan with a CIA command post in meetings with parents, or Walter White's portable methamphetamine laboratory in Breaking Bad, RVs are an important part of today's culture.

The Evolution of RVs Today
As we would expect from studying its history, RV technology continues to advance. Today, RVs have full kitchens, bathrooms, washers, and dryers, and there are more types of RV campers than ever before! With hundreds of styles and layouts to choose from, it can make your head spin trying to pick the best one for your needs. Of course, if you’re not ready for the long-term commitment, you can find hundreds of websites allowing you to rent one.

One of the more recent advancements of RV campers is the invention of the toy hauler. Not only are RV campers able to sleep with the entire family, but now they even carry your toys such as ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles at the same time.

Top Companies Producing RVs
The demand for RVs especially in the US is expected to hit $16.6 billion in 2021. There are several large manufacturers of RVs and here are three leading companies to watch for in the RV industry.

Thor Industries
Thor is the leading supplier of RVs to the US market. The company’s sales met over a third of US demand in 2016. Thor’s products include conventional travel trailers; fifth wheels; truck and folding campers; and Class A, B, and C motorhomes. The company owns many well-known RV brands, including Airstream, CrossRoads, Cruiser RV, Dutchmen, Jayco, Starcraft, and Thor Motor Coach. In June 2016, Thor acquired Jayco, which included the Jayco, Starcraft, Highland Ridge, and Entegra Coach brands.

Forest River
Forest River, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, manufactures RVs as well as utility cargo trailers, buses, and pontoon boats. The company ranked as the second leading RV supplier to the US market in 2016. Brands owned by Forest River include Coachmen, Dynamax, Forest River, Palomino, Prime Time, and Shasta.

Winnebago Industries
In 2016, Winnebago stood as the third-largest supplier of RVs to the US market. The company's RV products include Class A, B, and C motorhomes; travel trailers; fifth wheels; folding camper trailers; and truck campers. These products are primarily marketed under the Winnebago brand name. In October 2016, Winnebago announced it would be acquiring Grand Design RV, a manufacturer of towable RVs.
