Motorsports Legend Rodin Younessi Competed in Le Mans 24-Hour Race Behind the Wheel of an ORECA 03

Rodin Younessi

Rodin Younessi

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, USA, April 30, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The ORECA 03 is a Le Mans Prototype built by ORECA in 2011 and known internationally for its quality performance in high-endurance races. Rodin Younessi piloted one of seven ORECA 03 vehicles that entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans competition in 2013.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is a world-renowned racing competition held each year since its inception in 1923. Today, it’s considered one of the most-followed and highly-anticipated races in the world and is the premiere competition for endurance and efficiency. For the 2013 series, the 90th anniversary of Le Mans, motorsports enthusiast and dealership-owner Rodin Younessi raced in one of the seven ORECA 03 models entered into the competition.

“I am overwhelmed by the opportunity I've been given to compete in the 90th Anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans; the feeling is surreal,” said Rodin Younessi before the race began. “I am grateful for the faith, confidence, and the once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Built and developed by ORECA, the 03 model is one of 24 in total and is the third car that the company has produced after the 01 and FLM09. It’s the preferred choice of many drivers for endurance racing, and it’s an especially popular option for those competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. To ensure that their many vehicles participating in the Le Mans performed to their fullest ability, the engine department, based in Magny-Cours, served on hand at the competition with engineers overseeing no fewer than eight V8 engines (seven of which were the 03 model).

“It’s a powerful and stable vehicle delivering high-performance across hours of continuous use,” said Rodin Younessi, “making it an obvious choice for the Le Mans. It was an honor to drive such a capable car for the competition.”

The ORECA 03 debuted in 2011 and has set the standard for the LM P2 class of vehicles ever since, especially in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The vehicle was a prototype designed in ORECA workshops that quickly became a manufacturing success, holding two consecutive pole positions and two fastest race laps. After the ORECA 03 reached its initial podium at the 2011 Le Mans, two others finished in the top three in 2012. In total, seven of the eight ORECA 03 entered that year took the checkered flag, and four of their vehicles ranked in the top six finalists.

“The ORECA 03 distinguishes itself by how easy it is to drive, especially for gentlemen drivers,” said Director of the Design Bureau Christophe Guibbal. “The ORECA allows pros to get the max out of the car and push the limits, while the amateurs have to find their own limits and reach the highest level possible.”

Ultimately, Rodin Younessi and his fellow ORECA 03 drivers of the 2013 Le Mans raced one of the highest-performing vehicles on the market in one of the most world-renowned motorsports racing events in history.

Helion Technologies Partners with California New Car Dealers Association to Educate Dealers on Privacy Act Compliance

Helion Technologies Logo

Helion Technologies

For most dealers, compliance will require significant upgrades to their software, hardware and data security equipment.”

— Erik Nachbahr, Founder and President, Helion Technologies

TIMONIUM, MD, UNITED STATES, April 30, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Helion Technologies has partnered with the California New Car Dealers Association (CNCDA) to educate dealers on how to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The sweeping new privacy law takes effect in January 2020, imposing new data security standards on dealerships located in California, as well as third-party vendors that access and/or store customer data from these dealerships.

In a nutshell, the CCPA requires businesses to implement "reasonable measures" to protect consumers' personal data. The CA Attorney General defines “reasonable measures" as compliance with 20 controls established by the Center for Internet Security.

"For most dealers, compliance will require significant upgrades to their software, hardware and data security equipment," said Erik Nachbahr, president and founder of Helion Technologies. "Additionally, dealerships will need to implement internal processes designed to keep data safe, and provide their employees with security awareness training."

"CNCDA is excited about our new partnership with Helion and the technical expertise they will bring to our members. We are committed to supporting the necessary outreach and critical education so that California dealers better understand the legal requirements of the CCPA, as well as the most cost-effective ways to keep their dealerships in compliance," said Brian Maas, president of CNCDA. "Helion's knowledge in data security and technology will be enormously helpful to our dealer members as they navigate bringing their networks up to CCPA standards."

The CCPA applies to any business that meets ONE of these requirements:

1) grosses $25 million or more in revenue
2) buys, sells or shares personal information for 50,000 or more consumers
3) derives 50% or more of its revenues from selling consumers' personal information

Many dealerships meet the first two requirements. In addition to dealers, the CCPA applies to third parties located outside of California. This means that auto manufacturers, dealership management software (DMS) vendors, CRM vendors, marketing vendors and any other entity that dealers share their customers' personal information with, must also comply with the new law.

The CCPA gives more rights to consumers related to how dealerships may collect and use their information. Once the laws take effect, upon a request from a consumer, dealers will be required to:

• Correct inaccurate consumer data
• Delete the consumer's personal data unless it's necessary to do business, as well as delete all of their data from the databases of third parties with which you've shared such information
• Restrict processing or sharing of information if the consumer objects to its usage for reasons not related to the purpose for which it was collected; such as usage in direct marketing
• Allow customers to easily opt-out of having their personal information sold to a third party

Dealerships are also required to proactively provide full disclosure to consumers about what their data is used for, who it gets shared with and for what purpose, at the time said data is collected.

Non-compliance may result in fines and a flood of litigation from consumers.

dynaCERT Inc. CEO Interview on Bloomberg BNN

Bloomberg BNN Interview of dynaCERT Inc.’s CEO, Jim Payne

Global demand potential for dynaCERT's HG technology is in the multi-millions of units, able to reduce NOx in emissions from diesel engines by 88%, among other.

dynaCERT Inc. (TSX:DYA)

By using both synthetic fuels and dynaCERT's HG Technology John O'Bireck anticipates a reduction of greenhouse gasses from his 10 vehicles to total ~700 tonnes annually.”

— Follow The Money Interview of dynaCERT Inc. Advisory Board Member

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, April 30, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — dynaCERT Inc. CEO, Mr. Jim Payne, was interviewed on Bloomberg BNN on April 23, 2019, discussing how the company's carbon-cutting HydraGENTM (HG) technology is being used in diesel engines used for trucking, marine shipping and mining. The full interview may be viewed at https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/video/power-shift-canadian-technology-used-to-cut-diesel-engine-emissions~1666260 online. dynaCERT was also discussed in a recent interview with Mr. John O’Bireck, an engineer highly knowledgeable in the field dynaCERT specializes in, he is also a highly successful serial entrepreneur, and a recent addition to dynaCERT's advisory board. Below are takeaways of insight from both interviews.

1) Takeaways of insight from the Bloomberg BNN interview of the CEO:
dynaCERT IS NOW GROWING GOLBALY: in North America, Europe, Middle East, and India — dynaCERT has transport trucks and buses currently running in India with the government running a pilot project.

EMISSIONS REDUCTION TECHNOLOGY: The HG technology is proven through the German Government to reduce NOx by 88%, across the board dynaCERT is reducing pollutants on average north of 50%. The HG technology acts as a catalyst; hydrogen has a 9 to 10 times flame spread which helps the engine burn diesel more completely, resulting in more power, less carbon fouling, and a reduction in pollutants.

TECHNOLOGY THAT PAYS FOR ITSELF: The HG technology improves fuel economy on average 10% – 15%. Typically the HG unit costs just over $8,000 to the end user for a transport truck, resulting in a typical payback period of less than one year from fuel savings alone.

NEW EXPANSION INTO MINING INDUSTRY, HEAVY MACHINERY, POWER GENERATION, and BUSSES: dynaCERT makes HG units of various sizes tailored for unique specifications. dynaCERT just launched into the mining industry; two major mining companies have placed orders for units for their large diesel trucks, and dynaCERT has recently signed a deal with an OEM that manufactures underground mining equipment and whose primary focus is to reduce emissions. Although the initial focus has been transport trucks, dynaCERT is also now involved in making HG units for heavy equipment, and power generation; dynaCERT has HG units running in big power plants in Northern Quebec, and Saudi Arabia. dynaCERT is servicing two major bus companies in India that are provincially owned.

EUROPE'S THIRST FOR EMISSION SOLUTIONS: dynaCERT has spent over a year having its product tested, verified, and certified through TUV North and TUV South in Germany. dynaCERT is now waiting for the final stamp of approval from KBA. dynaCERT has pilot projects on right now with the government of Austria where they are running equipment and have received a commitment that upon just emission reductions they are committed to outfitting their entire fleets.

CARBON CREDIT MONETIZATION: The HG technology is unique to dynaCERT and protected by various patents, the system is fully computerized and is able to monitor and monetize carbon credits. dynaCERT is in the process of getting certified for carbon credits through the UK. CEO, Jim Payne, stated "It's taken us 15 years and $40 million years to get here. It certainly has not been an easy feat."

dynaCERT AT THE BEGINING OF MAJOR GROWTH CURVE TRAJECTORY: At the close of the interview the BNN host noted dynaCERT was publicly traded and asked "are you profitable at this point?", to which the CEO stated "Currently, we are not, like I said; we have just gone into sales, we certainly expect that by later this year we will start turning a profit".

2) Takeaways of insight from the Mr. John O’Bireck interview:
The full interview may be viewed at https://youtu.be/42rzzi3p2gE online, the dynaCERT discussion begins near the 7 minute mark.

John O'Bireck understands hydrogen enhanced combustion technology on a technical level very well. John has purchased 10 of dynaCERT's units for his own fleet. He is able to quantify the results under constant variables (e.g. same route, same driver, same load), and the HG technology comes with greenhouse gas tracking software. By using both synthetic fuels and dynaCERT's HG Technology he anticipates a reduction of greenhouse gasses from his 10 vehicles to total ~700 tonnes annually.

Rahim Hassanally shares a closer look at his philanthropy and charity work

Rahim Hassanally

Rahim Hassanally

FAIRFIELD, CALIFORNIA, USA, April 29, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Automotive industry professional Rahim Hassanally offers a look at his charitable contributions and advocacy work, as well as reflecting on Typhoon Haiyan aid effort.

From supporting his local homeless shelters and promoting breast cancer awareness, to raising thousands of dollars for typhoon aid efforts, automotive industry professional Rahim Hassanally has long supported a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, charitable foundations, and other good causes. Having previously made the Automotive News 'Top 40 Under 40' list and subsequently named as the 18th annual Urban Wheel Awards 'Urban Dealer of the Year,' Hassanally offers a closer look at his philanthropy and charity work.

"I'm proud to support a number of incredible charities and good causes," explains Hassanally, "and I'm a keen advocate for breast cancer awareness both in America and internationally."

Further to supporting his local homeless shelters, air force base, and other good causes, both in his local area and nationally, Rahim Hassanally also successfully helped to raise thousands of dollars in the wake of the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan which hit the Philippines several years ago.

"After seeing the devastation caused in the Philippines by deadly Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, I remember thinking to myself, 'We need to take action,'" Hassanally recalls.

He and fellow automotive industry colleagues quickly rallied support for relief efforts, raising more than $5,000 in a little over two weeks, all of which was promptly donated to aid agencies. The impressive fundraising total later exceeded $6,000. "The nature of the deadly typhoon profoundly touched a large number of people locally, particularly within the Filipino community, at the time," adds Hassanally, "so it was incredible to be able to help in some way."

A 20-year veteran of America's ever-evolving automotive industry, National Automobile Dealers Association Dealer Academy graduate Hassanally is also closely involved with the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers and is a Governor of California appointed Department of Motor Vehicles New Motor Vehicle Board member.

Close to his home in California, Hassanally is a keen supporter of his local air force base. He has also contributed greatly toward local homeless shelters, such as the nearby Solano Mission. Previously, Hassanally, along with support from friends, family, and many of his industry colleagues, raised and donated a significant sum of money following an incident where thieves stole hundreds of turkeys from the shelter just days prior to that year's Thanksgiving.

A member of the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers, Rahim Hassanally is also an appointed Department of Motor Vehicles New Motor Vehicle Board member, as well as a board member of the American International Automobile Dealers Association and a National Automobile Dealers Association Dealer Academy graduate. An accomplished sportsman and a long-standing advocate for breast cancer awareness, in his spare time, Hassanally also enjoys a wide variety of further hobbies and interests.

I can’t tell you how many times over the last 20+ years, I’ve had clients come to me, and one or more lawyers told them they had no case.”

NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, USA, April 29, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Brian Chase, auto defect attorney, urged anyone involved in a car accident to ask an attorney if a defective auto component is to blame in a recent video interview.

Chase recently spoke with AskTheLawyers.com™ in an interview to address a specific type of products liability case: auto defects. He explained that in most car accident lawsuits, you’re filing suit against another driver’s insurance company. However, in auto defect case, you’re exploring other options against makers and suppliers of defective auto parts. Some common examples include: The roof collapsing in rollover accident; seatbelts that fail to stay closed; airbags that fail to deploy, or deploy improperly (i.e. the recalled Takata airbags); brakes failing to work; seats that break and collapse when the car is rear-ended; and exploding gas tanks.

He said that in these cases, both the manufacturer of the vehicle and the suppliers of the components could be liable for injuries. He also explained that a recall does not need to be in effect to pursue an auto defects case.

Chase said that it is essential to hire a truly qualified attorney with auto defect litigation experience to find out if this is an auto defects case.

“You need to hire an attorney that specializes in auto defect cases,” he said. “I can’t tell you how many times over the last 20+ years, I’ve had clients come to me, and one or more lawyers told them they had no case.”

He said that 9 times out of 10, he can tell within 15 to 20 minutes of analyzing a case whether or not a defective auto part played a role. He also recommends contacting an attorney who has experience with trying cases with successful trial verdicts.

“When the insurance industry knows you don’t try cases, you’re not going to maximize the value of that case for client,” Chase said.

Brian Chase is an injury attorney who focuses his practice on defective product cases. Chase is a managing partner and senior trial attorney with Bisnar Chase Personal Injury Attorneys, LLP. He recently handled an auto defect case that resulted in a $24.7 million verdict. He can be reached at 888-333-2350.
